About Us
The Ignite VR team has over 20 years’ experience in the field of education.
Our team has been bringing Virtual Reality to the schools of Adelaide and the people of South Australia since 2016, with the most immersive educational and entertainment experience possible.
We were one of the first companies in the world to recognise the potential of VR within the education sector and we are still the only company in Australia to bring the highest quality virtual reality equipment into the classroom. Find out why using VR in the classroom is so effective here.
Supported by HTC Vive, a technology more likely found in high end gaming zones. To get the best from students, you need to use the best equipment and HTC Vive is the best around.
Michael Ewer – Founder
Michael is a seasoned educator, working in the vocational setting since 2002 and holding a number of qualifications in education, instructional design and digital learning. Having recognized the potential benefits that VR can bring to the training environment after helping his own child with the struggles of dyslexia by using VR to work on letter construction, Michael started Ignite VR. A massive investment in time and work, but done so happily as the company can now support students and schools with VR in their curriculum.
Michael's vision for Ignite VR is to use the best equipment to support learning, but it's not about the tech, it's about the learning. Spending time to map each of the experiences that they use to the national curriculum ensures there is some robust learning being had.
